Ashtanga Yoga Victoria has found a NEW HOME!

Jeff and Harmony are excited to announce a New Home for Ashtanga Yoga Victoria! Starting December 1st we will be relocating to a Beautiful NEW Space in Market Square!

The search for a more permanent home for AYVic has been part of our vision since we began teaching here over a year ago. The new space will allow us to expand our schedule, offer more classes, and promote authentic teachings to the growing Yoga Community here in Victoria.

Market Square is an important place in the city of Victoria. It is being revitalized, and we look forward to breathing new life and energy back into this beautiful heritage building.

Starting December 1st: AYVic Introduces Evening Mysore!

Along with an expanded schedule that will include several Guided Ashtanga Yoga Classes, and Classes for Beginners, we are most excited to announce the start of our Beginner's Mysore Program from 4:30pm - 7:15pm!
(Of course, since it is Mysore - Students Of All Levels Are Welcome!)

So if you weren't down with the early morning hours, you will now be able to come and learn Ashtanga Yoga from Jeff and Harmony in the evenings, when you finish your work day!

We look forward to meeting many new students, and introducing you to the Traditional Mysore Method in our Beautiful New Location in Market Square starting this December - Come Revolutionize Your Life!

The Bitter Sweet Truth

How much of the Sweet Stuff can you have without blowing a healthful eating plan?

If you want to ward off excess pounds and heart disease, experts recommend you try to limit yourself to about 100-150 calories worth of added sugar each day. OMG!!

An "added sugar" is any sugar that's been added to foods or beverages during processing or preparation, be it sweetened yogurts, cereals, tea, coffee, or candies. Most processed foods have tons of “hidden” sugars and sweeteners added to them.

Sugar Overload:

To put this in perspective that’s about 6-9 teaspoons of sugar a day!

One 12-ounce can of sweetened soda has roughly 130 calories of added sugars. That means if you have a can of ginger ale, you've already hit your daily limit.

4 pumps of flavored syrup in your coffee has about 100 calories of added sugar, as does a Tall Chai-Tea Latte!

Unfortunately, most people get about 430 calories of added sugars daily -- enough extra to easily contribute to the growing pandemic of obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and unhealthy cholesterol.

The Sweet Solution:

Keep It Simple: Eat fewer processed foods.

Increase your consumption of the fresh, wholesome, nutritious, and naturally sweet foods like fruit, vegetables, and whole grains!
