'Authorized' by
Sri K. Pattabhi Jois
(Guruji) to teach this traditional method of yoga, and continue teaching in this lineage as taught by him in by the "Grandfather of Modern Yoga",
Sri T. Krishnamacharaya
. There are only nine Ashtanga Yoga Teachers in Canada who currently hold this official 'authorization'. Our primary asana teachers have been Pattabhi Jois and
R. Sharath Jois
of The KPJ Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore.
We are also blessed to be students of
Sri O. P. Tiwari
(Tiwariji), who is a Master of pranayama in the lineage of
Swami Kuvalayananda,
the honored teacher, and founder of the Kaivalyadhama Institute in Lonavla, India.
For the past six years we have been traveling and teaching internationally, and spending as much time as possible studying in India at the feet of the Masters.

We are also extremely thankful to Dr. M.A Jayashree for her unwavering patience with us while learning Sanskrit and Chanting. Also, Prof. M.A Narasimhan, for his guidance in philosophy and meditation. And to the practice of Vipassana meditation in the tradition of Goenka, which has changed our lives in countless ways.
Needless to say, we love being around the positive energy of the Masters, as well as other dedicated Yoga Teachers and students. It is our firm belief that all teachers must connect to their students from the truth of their personal experience. It is from this place that we happily and humbly offer a little of what we have learned to our students in Victoria, and to others from around the world.
