Injured Shoulder
by Lori
What should I do if the front of my shoulder feels pain going into Suptakurmasana and Parsarita Padottanasana C?
--------------------------------
Hi Lori,
If the front of your shoulder is experiencing pain going into Suptakurmasana and Prasarita Padottanasana C, or in any posture for that matter, we would suggest backing off, and only going as far as you can without experiencing any painful sensation at all.
Find a modification that best resembles the actual posture that you can practice without causing any stress to the area that is currently aggravated.
We need to learn to practice without causing ourselves pain or injury if we want to make this a life-long practice.
One of the best things you can do is find a qualified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher in your area to help you work into an appropriate modification while you are rehabilitating your shoulder, or any area of concern.
If you are in Victoria, Jeff and I would be happy to help in any way that we can!
Blessings, Harmony
