Travel to Victoria BC by AIR A number of major airlines fly directly to the Victoria International Airport. The Victoria International Airport is 16 km north of Victoria on Hyw. 17 (Pat Bay Highway). It is about 2 km south of Sidney by the Sea and about 7 km south of the Ferry Terminal at Swartz Bay. Victoria International Airport to Downtown Victoria: 1) Rental Cars: There are 4 on-airport rental car companies, which have counters located in the Arrivals area directly across from the Information Desk, and 3 off-airport rental car companies, with whom you can pre-arrange a car pick-up with. 2) Akal Shuttle Bus will take you to downtown Victoria for $18/adult (or $11/person if you come in a group of 4 or more). Yellow Cab Taxis are also available from the airport to downtown Victoria for about $54.00. 3) BC Transit makes a limited number of trips per day in each direction between downtown Victoria and the terminal building. From the airport you take bus #83 to the “Royal Oak Exchange” and then transfer to either bus #70 #72, #73.
